SEARS IS SEEKING QUALIFIED CANDIDATES

Dick Davis, Chair of the NFB Employment Committee was recently contacted by Angela Vandersteen, Business Development Manager, with Tangram Business Resourcing. She is working with Sears to find qualified candidates. Angela presented this program in Orlando, during our Job Seekers seminar. She has since written with the following message; be sure to view the two important documents that came with her message.

"Information on applying for jobs with Sears nationally."

Dick,

Again, thank you for all of your help. We are greatly excited to get these opportunities out to more people.

As I had mentioned to you, Tangram Business Resourcing has partnered with Sears to initiate a disability inclusion program that includes hiring people with disabilities. Sears offers an open company culture that is led by strong management that embraces disability inclusion. We have spent the last year helping Sears develop partnerships in the communities that can help them find qualified candidates and also provide any assistive technology employees might need.

Jobs are available across the country, however, the main focus of our partnership is in Texas, California, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, and North Carolina. We strongly encourage members in these areas to apply. In addition to openings at the retail locations, there are positions at distribution centers, call centers, and at the Sears Corporate Offices in Hoffman Estates, IL.

Attached are two information sheets on applying for the jobs at Sears. It is very important that these are reviewed before applying. If an applicant needs any accommodation during the application process, Sears does provide this with instruction on the attached. Also, all applicants we referred are asked to select Tangram as their referral source. This is important so we can track the success of this program.

Anyone with questions can contact myself or Sydney White at swhite@thetangramway.org.
